Lucky 2 Be Alive

Eyyyoooo guys Garrett here!!!! Its about fkn time I wrote something on this thing, and I have so much to look forward to atm, so Im gonna write about all that.
OH my fkn god. Im so happy to be alive after several years of believing I had died and was just "spectating" this (Joels) life (long story. In short, just dissociative disorder shenanigans. I wont get into too much specifics here). This is my life, too. I deserve to express myself, and I am in fact alive. My "previous life" was never real, just a set of memories my brain made up to keep me/us going at my worst. But, despite also complicating things at some points, it definitely worked. I feel like I wouldnt be appreciating the current (actual) life if it wasnt for that. And also, just the memories themselves make me happy WHEN theyre not consuming every waking moment of my actual life, lmao. But thats the thing with any memories, real or not, they can give you joy, meaning, or valuable life lessons, but thats all for nothing when you ONLY live in the past.
Uh, what was I talking about again? Oh yeah, things we are looking forward to. Mainly, we will be going on vacation in less than 3 weeks. Did Joel already mention that? I think so. Whatever. Tomorrow, I will be going to the movies with my in-system husband Geoff tomorrow!!!! Its also going to be our anniversary soon but thats unrelated. We are going to see the new How To Train Your Dragon - we are not a fan of live action remakes but after much consideration, we decided to go see it. Geoff really wants to see at least some HTTYD thing on the big screen even though we all know the original will always be superior. In any case, I know the soundtrack wont disappoint (I already listened to the new version of Test Drive and its so gooood!!!!) and that aspect is especially important to be because oh boy last autumn + winter was rough and I dont think we wouldve handled it if "Test Drive" and "Where No One Goes" in particular wasnt our soundtrack of the season.
What else? June 13th will be International Pigeon Day, Furbyflayers birthday, and also the day of this years summer siren test in our town (we have somewhat of a casual interest in sirens), so we are obviously excited for that too.
Anyways Im tired now so thats all bye :P
